Ritsu sighed happily. The Onsen was so peaceful and loving! He had invited only the person he trusted most to help him this day. Tohru would surely help him discover his true meaning in life. He lyed down and looked at the sky. Having nobody around made him a lot calmer. The grass tickled his face as the clouds rolled by, like life.

After about an hour, Ritsu began to get nervous. Where was she? Why hadn't she come yet? He sat up from watching the clouds. "Maybe she's already here." He said aloud. He ran as fast as he could to the door. "Tohru! I'm so sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't reali-" He screamed while running towards the door. But no one was there. Why? He looked at the ground, his long, silky hair covering his face. He wanted to hide behind the hair mentally as well as physically. He didn't want to face other things. Of course she doesn't want to see me. I don't even deserve knowing her. I don't deserve living! He sat down again and pondered, but that only got him more worked up. What if something happened to her? Oh, it would be all my fault. Tears discreetly felly down his cheek. "Oh Tohru!" he cried.

Having wanted to make some onigiri to take to Ritsu's Tohru was running late. Oh I really hope Ritchan-san doesn't get too mad because I'm late. I just figured he would enjoy an onigiri while we had a nice talk. After all, it's the least I can do since he was so kind to invite me to the Onsen.
Running to the open door Tohru was almost out of breath when she looked inside to see a distraught Ritsu. "Oh Ritsu, I'm so sorry I'm late but I wanted to bring some onigiri and the time just..." Seeing how sad he looked, Tohru quickly slid the small plastic bag off her fragile wrist.
Placing the bag containing the delicious onigiri to the side Tohru went over to Ritsu. Upon seeing the glittering droplets of tears running down Ritsu's face she grew concerned. "Ritchan-san, are you okay? Why do you look so upset? I hope it's not because I'm late. Mom always said to try your very best to show up on time so that way you can enjoy the other person's company longer. I'm really sorry... I can be such an idiot some times."

Ritsu looked up at the kind face. He smiled slowly, with tears still falling down his chin, but for happiness this time. "Thank you." he cried. She didn't know what a gift she had given him. Forgiviness.
He motioned for her to sit down at the table next to him. "Have a seat! I'm sorry to keep you waiting!"

Grabbing the bag of onigiri Tohru sat next to Ritsu and gave him a big smile. "Your welcome, Ritchan-san. Oh and you really shouldn't be the one apologizing. It's really my fault for being so careless when it came to keeping track of time. Anyway, I'm really sorry to have kept you waiting for such a long time."
Picking up the bag she gave it to Ritsu. "I hope you like them. Oh and maybe the next time I come by I could make you dinner. All you have to do is tell me what you would like." I know Kyou likes fish...I wonder if Ritchan-san would like something with bananas in it..
Tohru then looked into Ritsu's teary eyes and smiled. The more I look at Ritchan-san the more I am reminded of his mother. They are both such kind people.

Ritsu smiled sincerely. "Thank you so much." He carefully took one; nearly afraid that the kindness would break.
They sat together in silence for a minute. Ritsu politely munched on the onigiri. "You're so good at making these!" He exclaimed. " I wish I was as good at something." He stood up suddenly. "I'm so sorry! I forgot to ask! How are you?"

"Oh no, don't be silly, I'm not that good at making them!" Tohru replied modestly. " I am very glad you like them, though," Tohru said as she took a riceball for herself.
Ritchan-san is so kind; he cares so much that he apologizes because he doesn't want to ever hurt someone's feelings, she thought. Then, standing up alongside Ritsu, Tohru commented encouragingly, "Ritchan-san, I know everyone is good at something, including you! Maybe you just haven't searched hard enough to find that special talent. Sometimes it may be hard to spot the good qualities and talents in yourself, but if you keep searching, you will notice that the good qualities you see in others are the same qualities that you have! You are one of the kindest people I know, Ritchan-san!"

Ritsu smiled pathetically. "Oh thank you! You've given me so much hope!" He wanted so badly to pay her back immediatly, but didn't really know how.
"I, I was hoping maybe you could help me discover my talent. I know, I'm always asking for help with everything. We don't need to find it, but how do I begin to look for it?"
Ritsu looked down, his stringy hair again hiding his face. I'm so weak. If only I was a little stronger. I wish I was braver.
He looked back at Tohru his smile re-appearing. "I hope I'm not borthering you."

"Oh no, you're not bothering me at all!!" Tohru confirmed to Ritsu as she nodded her head vigorously from side to side. She finished eating her riceball, so she sat back down at the table and layed her arms down upon it. She looked up to the sky, letting out a small sigh. She pondered on what Ritsu just asked, then, looking back into his delicate face, she replied, "It can be difficult to find a talent. I remember when I was little, and mom was teaching me to ride a bike. She told me that even if I fall the first few times, that I couldn't ever give up trying. And eventually, as I began to practice more and more, I began to gain balance, and I didn't fall off. So you have to remember, Ritchan-san, you can't ever stop trying. Because, if you do, there might be so many things that you are missing out on," Tohru finished.
I really want to help him gain confidence and find something to do that he enjoys. He's such a nice person; all or the Sohma's are kind people. I hate having to see him upset. she thought.
"I know, Ritchan-san! Why don't I teach you how to cook! Do you think that would be fun?!" Tohru exclaimed.

Ritsu's smile widened. "Really? You'd do that?" he asked. "Oh please! Please teach me!" he exclaimed nodding his head. "I'd love that so much!"
He walked into the kitchen and felt awkward. He didn't know the first thing about cooking. "How do I start?" he asked.
((Sorry for shortness, I couldn't think of what else to put.))

Tohru smiled back happily. She had never seen Ritsu so cheerful before, which delighted her. "Of course!" Tohru replied. "I'm honored that you are so excited to learn from me!" Tohru began walking with Ritsu, and they eventually reached the kitchen. "Hmm, how do we start?" Tohru repeated back Ritsu's question, a dumbfounded look on her face. Cooking always seemed to come naturally to her, she hadn't really thought of what to do first. "Well, I guess we have to decide what you'd like to make! Just tell me a food you like Ritchan-san, and that's what we'll cook. And that way, next time you come over to Shigure-san's house, I'll know what you like, so I'll know to make it for you!" she smiled.

"Could we make something with bannanas in it? Like bannana bread? OH MY! I'M BEING SO HORRIBLY SELFISH! I'M SORRY TOHRU!" Ritsu cried on the floor. "I'M SORRY!" ((We knew he had to break down sooner or later..lol.)) "Please make whatever you want!" Ritsu exclaimed. You looked awkwardly at Tohru. "I'm sorry!"

"No, no Ritsu, everything's fine!" she assured to him, nodding her head as confirmation. "You aren't being selfish; I asked you what you wanted to make," she commented as she smiled towards him. "So you don't have to worry one bit." Tohru then added with a sudden determination, clenching her fist, "Well, banana bread it is!"
She began rummaging through the cabinets, grabbing flour, sugar, cinnamon, and other supplies needed to cook the bread. She then turned to Ritsu, saying, "If you'd like to, you can start chopping up the bananas! I mean, I'm not forcing you to help me of course, but if you do I'd really be grateful!" Tohru added a smile, then started washing her hands. I really hope Ritsu will enjoy cooking, Tohru thought hopefully to herself.
